The Frown That Keeps Us Smiling

I've been meaning to put this video up for about, oh I dunno, four months. So yes Lily does look a lot younger, because she is. Anyways, we just love this frown. She did the same thing when she sat on Santa's lap.

And, here it is in action...

Maybe this is only funny to us...cause we're cruel.

Thanksgiving: Sutton Style

We had an awesome/rediculous thanksgiving holiday! Awesome because we had lots of yummy foods to eat. And rediculous because we cooked TOO MUCH yummy food. We spent the holiday with my dad, and it seems like we're always over-doing everything we plan together. We could have feed four families with all that we cooked. Oh well, at least I don't have to cook for a few more days. BONUS!

Homemade Key Lime Pie (by my dad, and so delicious)

Homemade Breadbasket (also by my dad, did I do anything?)

It was Lily's first Thanksgiving, so I got a shot of her with Gramps!

Oh yeah...
Kyler, John, and I went Black Friday shopping at Midnight thanksgiving night! It was crazy fun! Black Friday is one of my favorite events of the year. Everyone is so insane, I love it. I even joined in some of the insanity this year...

Would you still be my friend if I told you...

I went to the midnight showing of Twilight: Breaking Dawn ... dressed up with my mom!

Cause I DID!

if you do still want to be my friend, there may be something seriously wrong with you...

Alice and Bella

I even wore my vampire contacts, see!

I LOVE hanging out with me mum.
I can be my true weirdo self (cause I think I got it from her), and we just have a blast together!

There's A New Bully In Town

Yesterday I walked into the living room to see this:

Jack picking up dear, sweet, innocent Lily up by the ankles and chanting, "give me lunch money, give me lunch money...." (I'm thinking, Jack... we DO feed you!)

???

And so I find out:

Apparently, John used pick Jack up by the ankles and chant "give me all your lunch money, give me all your lunch money!"

Sorry Lily, I guess you can blame daddy. :)

Halloween Bash

We really get into Halloween at our house....
We had our 2nd Annual Halloween Party this year, and I think it was a hit. Last year we had a dance party, and this year we decided to switch it up and do a bunch of Minute to Win It games. I had so much fun with it. Maybe every year we'll do something different!

We had lots of good food...Severed Fingers, Brain Cupcakes...

Empty the Tissues Race

Dizzy the Mummy

Doughnut Race

Whack the Can

Ready Spaghetti

Don't Blow the Joker

M & M Smiley Faces

And this kid stayed up until after 1 a.m....and you can see why....

IT WAS A BLAST!

Hiking Grandeur Peak...With Kids

Someday I will learn that I can't do everything that I used to do. Especially with two small children.

Labor Day we hiked Grandeur Peak. It was an adventure with each of us carrying a kid! At the end of the hike I vowed I would never hike again....I probably will, just not toting up kid.

The funniest part of the whole hike...
He was OUT!

The view was spectacular.

A Poo Poo Story

FYI: If you get offended easily by potty language, you prob shouldn't read this. (Actually, you probably shouldn't EVER read this blog :)

I started to potty train Jack at the beginning of July, but he was not liking sitting on the little potty with his bare bum. So I decided to wait a couple of months. Just yesterday, Jack all of the sudden started asking if he could go on the potty. I said SURE! Jack sat down and peed right then and there. WHOA! I was super excited so I put on his training pants and we began potty training officially. Jack peed in his potty the rest of that day (about 7 hours) and had to accidents...well, pee pee accidents....

Jack told me he had to poo poo so I sat him on the potty and he started pushing. I couldn't tell if he was faking or not. But I soon figured that out. All of the sudden he jumps up off the potty, takes off running and I see a poo makin' it's way out! What happens next? As soon as he hits the carpet that little (or big I should say), poo poo made it's way out and plopped right onto mommy's new carpet. Nice. Great timing Jack. Needless to say, Jack did the same thing today, so I think he's got weird issues with pooing on the potty. We'll get there.

Jack's Car's Party!

Jack turned two on Saturday and boy did he have a blast! He had a party, went swimming in our little kid pool, had a BBQ with my family, and not to mention THE FIREWORKS! I mean seriously, what a day to have a birthday. The day before is Pioneer Day, so fireworks are legal to light off on his big day! AND this year, Pioneer Day was on a Sunday so a lot of people, including us, were lighting fireworks off on Saturday night. He totally loved it.

Here are some pictures from the party. I have more party details on my craft blog.

Jack wanted everyone's little cupcake topper. He ended up with, like, ten in his cupcake.

Tractor Tipping

I made this little cardboard Lightning McQueen for the kids to sit in.

He was very excited about opening up presents!
