Jack is Three!

This little guy has been asking for his birthday since January, so naturally, we're super thrilled it FINALLY came. :)

The Three Year Pictures
All but the last picture were taken at Gardner Village.

and my personal favorite...

The Big Day
(which we actually celebrated on the 24th since John was already taking work off.)

We built Jack a sandbox for his birthday!

Spent the day at Trafalga!

Jack even helped mow the lawn on his special day. What a trooper. ;P

(Sorry for the picture overload).

The FIRETRUCK PARTY!
(I have more detailed pics on the theme at my craft blog).

Jack and Ethan ganging up on poor John.

We were surprised at how well these kids picked up using a water gun!

Utah Appreciation Week #3: Seven Peaks and Bee's Game

BTW, we are TOTALLY having a blast doing all of our little Utah appreciation activities. Truely, I think I can speak for John and I when I say we just feel more grateful for this place than we ever have. I am grateful that we decided to make an effort to do this! If you're feeling in any way like we have in the past, you should totally do this!

Anyways, this week we went to the Seven Peaks waterpark and to a Bee's baseball game.

We actually have the Pass of All Passes which we got for 29.99 per person, and Jack and Lily get in free until they turn four. So we actually have been going to Seven Peaks every week all summer! The kids love it and so do we.

For the Bee's game, John's work gave us free tickets. We went last year, but Jack was way more excited about it this year.

Lily didn't understand what was going on at all, but she LOVED clapping when everyone else did. In fact, one time, everyone started cheering really loud and she had a peice of hotdog in her hand. She looked at me for a just a split second like, "what do I do with this so I can clap too?" But then she threw that hotdog into her mouth and got the most excited look on her face while she fervently clapped with everyone else. It was hilarious to watch, I wished I could have caught that one on video.

Jack Playing Baseball

Jack doesn't even like hitting a ball off his T anymore. He's been hitting it with us pitching since this spring. We've been wondering if we should even bother putting Jack in t-ball for fear that he would just freak out that he's gotta hit it off the T.

In this video, Jack hits the ball three out of four tries.

Nonetheless, we are way excited to get this kid signed up for sports this fall!

Happy Birthday America 2012!

Af
We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July this year!!!

VOTE FOR PEDRO!

We went to the West Jordan parade in the morning. Kind of a disappointment since their weren't any floats, but we may have missed them. We left a little early since it was so darn hot.

After the parade, we cooled off at Lani's Hawaiian Shaved Ice. If you haven't been there, you need to try it. They actually sneak ice cream into your shaved ice, so you get a yummy little surprise at the bottom. It's one of our favorite places in the summer time.

Lily loved clapping for everything in the parade!

We stopped by John's parents house to say hello and it just so happened that the cousins were there too! So we all had lunch together and the kids got to play!

Playing hard in the pool! Did I mention it was stinkin' hot today!?

After that, we went home and the kids crashed for a couple hours before we went to Grandpa's house to eat dinner and be pyros for a few hours!

We didn't even have to ask Jack to watch out. He was so cautious when we lit the fireworks :)

Lily enjoyed the show from the grass.

Oh, and John did remember to put protections around the castle before we started...
(If you know what I'm talking about, you must be a nerd too. :)

John and I actually celebrated a little something else this 4th...
John came back from basketball this morning with me this huge chocolate kiss from the Chocolate Cottage. This fourth of July marked EIGHT years since we started dating.
